Nailed the Atlanta part of the equation...but the Braves took care of the under all by themselves.

Can you imagine if Smoltz and Hudson and Moylan had stayed healthy? The first 4 in the rotation would be Smoltz, Hudson, Jurrjens, and Campillo. That would have been BY FAR the best first 4 in baseball. We would have never traded Texiera, and if Jones had stayed healthy we would have walked away with the world series.
Only if.

Wishful thinking my friend. Braves are who we thought they were. Smoltz, Chipper are who we thought they were. (Effective when playing, but at the downslop of their respective careers) Campillo and Jurrjens are not this good. Jeff Francouer and the Braves management's love for him has pretty much ruined this team. He is trash and never again will he be on one of my fantasy teams. I've been watching baseball for a few years now and there is not one player that has even close to as bad of plate discipline as him. His coaches outta be ashamed of themselves.

Good points. We had to expect at least 1 would get hurt. Too young to tell about Francouer. I'm gonna give him next year before I give up on him. Plus he may be the best athlete on the team. He had a full scholarship to play at Clemson at DB. Arm is second to nobody. He is going through a bad slump but he is too talented not to bounce back.
Jurrjens has a 3.12 ERA, Campillo has a 2.58 ERA. 2.58! I think these guys are the real deal. Jurrjens is like 22 years old. He is the real deal. Campillo is a solid 2 guy for years to come. Next year is shot without Hudson though. That was the worst possible thing that could happen to the Bravos.

You obviously have never coached baseball. Terry Pendleton works every day with Jeff on plate discipline. That doesn't mean it's going to happen when the player gets in the batters box.
Just like TP couldn't make Andruw Jones take the pitch middle away back up the middle or to the right side. He was going to stand up there and try to yank every damn pitch to left.
Don't blame TP and the Braves coaches, blame Jeff. (Now, if you want to blame Bobby for continuing to write his name in the line-up, that's a different matter entirely).
