Maholm has been solid for the pirates lately and as a lefty pretty much takes ryan howard out of the equation for the first 6-7 innings. I like the pirates, coming off a day of rest, with their two biggest bats mclouth and doumit having 2 days of rest.

blanton couldnt have thrown a better game.this is painful to watch.I have a ton of parlays tonight with philly.they need to get to the bucs bullpen.maholm is at 110 pitches right now.
