the screwy thing is that it was at 3.69 a gallon, then on wednesday night EVERYONE in town went up to 3.85 for no good reason, oil has been down, and down a lot every day. Highest it was was like 4.09.

They have no idea where the prices should be. I don't trust gas station owners, big oil, the guys that pump the gas. NO BODY. You know when you own a gas station you can get a ton of gas on credit? So many gas stations are going under because the owners know they can make more screwing over big oil and running back to Iran or China then actually selling in this environment.

They are down like 7.5% in my area. When oil price drops it won't be seen at the pump for a for weeks.

gas stations do not feel the extra rise in prices for 3 months because deliveries are set and paid 3 months in advance
