you still go to school down at U of I? Damn I miss La Bambas. Loved their tacos with that hot sauce after a night at the bars.

I graduated in 94, I go back twice a year.... One for a basketball game and one for a football game. I am going back to the game this year in September with all the illini greats.. Kenny battle, Liberty, Williams, Kiwanne, Deron, Dee, Nick etc etc.. should be a great time.. I will be there oct 18th also for the football game...are u there now? Nope I am an old fart too. funny thing is for a year or 2 we were there at the same time. I was in some crappy fraternity for nerds lol for a year and stayed in that big dorm whose name I forget for another year. My last years I had an apartment with some chick for a year and then after we split in some crappy apartment which had no heat in the middle of winter. I literally had no heat for about a month and they refused to believe it(landlords) until I filed a complaint. then they were like o we are sorry and hooked it on. Problem was the apartment did not have its own heater so they illegally hooked it up to another apartment and we found out later those tenants were paying for my heat(utilities included lease). I finally up and left.
I used to work at that small convenience store whose name of course I forget. I remember a few weekends we would drink outselves silly and work drunk as hell. lol. I wish I could remember some of the places but old age is catching up with me. I remember some bar where eveyone would grab a beer, get in a circle, and sing offkey to american pie while swaying back and forth with your beer. lol lol.
I remember all the drunks/panhandlers on the streets always bothering people for money. I remember some lady who was a whacko and who smelled so bad I actually, no joke, briefly lost conciousness when I walked into a movie threater(worked at the one on the strip there) and she was the only one in there as everyone else had fled. We also had banned her from the store. Haha quick funny story. I was on the bus going down to the OTB and the bus driver saw her coming and gunned this huge city bus lol and about ran her ass over so he would not get on the bus. She used to carry bag of trash on the bus and one time my gf at the time ran into her bag which was all over the bus floor and the lady punched her in the leg. Total nutjob.Comment -
Very cool, I always had my own apt... never did the frat thing.. just wasn't my thing..... I had 2 good friends I grew up with that went there the same time as me and we had the same place for the whole time. I finished in 3 years... It was a great time and my dream to go there since being a kid. I continued my schooling at UCSB for Grad and now almost finished UCLA for my PHD.המוסד
