You know who has the third most interceptions thrown in the NFL this season?
You are backing a team that can not stop Jerry's crippled kids from marching downfield?
You are backing a team travelling to the enemies back yard, where the home team in this series notoriously covers?
You are backing a team that is dead last or next to dead last in every single defensive category?
You are backing a team that let Eli Fukking Manning march 80 yards in 81 seconds to beat you?
You are backing a team that could not get it done in it's own house without their feature back (Bradshaw) their star reciever (Nicks) and their all world starting center (Bass) last week?
It's your funeral dude.

No play for me but with that defense there is no reason for the Pats to be favoured here.

i love brady...i love my pats....
but its just scary to watch this team....if you lock welker up and take away gronk and hernandez...there isnt much left...there other receivers cant beat single man coverage...and i think its frustrating brady alot....i saw him taking chances for throws downfield when he should have checked down....
they are really going to have to work woodhead and hernandez sunday night......and then theres the issue of us covering holmes and burress....ohhh crap
i know its not the pats m.o. and theyve whiffed on quite a few receivers....i love devin mccourty....but i still am a bit pissed that they passed on dez..i know dez is a mental midget sometimes...but hes talented and hes one heck of a competitor.....i hope the patriots line up 3 tes and just pound the rock all day....because if they are gonna run chad and deion out there they might as well play 9 on 9.......my fantasy scenario is larry fitzgerald gets fed up and talks his way out of zona and the pats bite

New England doesn't lose 3 in a row, just like Matt Ryan didn't lose at home, teams don't blow 3-0 leads in the ALCS and insert x other immaculate records.

It's not like the Jets don't have corners that can, you know, actually defend, either?
This is a horrible spot for the Pats, now they can win this game, but does not change the fact this is a horrible spot for the Pats.

Yeah it's a big challenge. We're so accustomed to seeing the Pats deliver in these situations - in the limited occasions Brady has been an underdog in recent times he's 6-1 ATS?

In a game that is a toss up, I'll take the + money, especially when the Pats outplayed the Jets just a few weeks ago, without their leader on D and best offensive lineman

But Brady can't play cornerback, he can't stop the run, this is 2011, this is not the same record breaking 2007 Tom Brady anymore, he is four years removed from that season.
He's thrown 10 picks so far this year, most of those 2700 passing yards are on cream puff cornerbacks, save maybe Pitt.
6-1 ATS as the dog is impressive, but these are not your big brothers Patriots anymore.

How is it a tossup?
Jets get four points for being the home team, New England has the better offense, the Jets have the better defense, the Jets have the better front lines in the trenches.
I am neither a lover or hater of either team, but looking at it overall, the Patriots offense is slightly better than the Jets defense, but the Jets offense is much better than the Patriots defense.

steve....lets not go overboard....yes this isnt the same 2007 patriots...but you arent gonna see many teams that good....but this team is no worse than the team that won 14 games....they are having some problems....but as somebody mentioned the other day....its probably not a bad thing they are having some problems and havent really peaked in the middle of the year.....i just hope they can survive...cause this is a tough spot and a loss would rough.....but this team is still good enough to beat anyone if they execute....brady looks pretty frustrated out there sometimes....i think the bulk of the teams recent struggles lies with the offense more than the defense...but i dont think its because of some "decline" in bradys skills

Ummm... his season last year was arguably better than the 2007 season, especially when you factor in the offensive talent each year and the fact that last year was a rebuilding year. He got unanimous MVP for a reason ...

Pats won by 9 a couple weeks ago, with Aaron Hernandez dropping an easy TD catch that Cromartie intercepted, with Law Firm running all over the Jets, with Sanchez doing jack shit in the passing game, and with Jerod Mayo (leader of D) and Sebastian Vollmer (only elite O lineman) both out of the game.
How will the Jets adjust to stop the run? How will Sanchez beat up the secondary when he couldn't a few weeks ago? I think this is the definition of a toss up game. Play it 100 times, both teams win about 50 of them.
