yeah, well freedom of religion was the american way at one point, and now we apparently have to have Congress reaffirm every few years that our national motto is something as stupid and cornball as "In God We Trust" like some sort of twisted loyalty oath from Catch-22. beyond that, black people being equal to 3/5th of a white person also was once the american way. so, forgive me my cynicism, but i would hope that we are heading to a better place than where 60+% of people can't find Iraq on a globe and people who know a lot about economic theory apparently associated gay people with child molestation, thereby making them perhaps unlikely to support advancements in civil rights. believe it or not, reality shows like To Catch A Predator may not be the best vehicle for enhancing your knowledge in this area.

i'm guessing that, deep down, you don't think that the vote of a person less intelligent than you should carry the same weight as yours, no? if not, you truly are an example to us all, in support of democracy if not civil rights and acceptance of homosexuals, and a great candidate to sign one of those loyalty oaths.
