Tim Donaghy is way bigger than Paterno. Supposedly Paterno told the higher ups and that is what many many people would do. That is how it works in most places. Chain of command. Do you flip out when a cop shoots some innocent guy and the rest of the police force does not turn him in? (never happens)

The Penn State situation is sick and fuked up but who the hell even knows what Paterno knew. I think judging him way harshly right now is a bit of an overreaction.

Donaghy made millions and millions of dollars for guys like Billy Walters and other big time gamblers (and probably made thousands for some of these line move guys here on SBR!). One of the craziest scandals in modern day sports. There was just a recent Cricket scandal in England that a journalist uncovered. I think it was based around in running type of betting and a pitcher throwing balls at certain times (I obviously don't know the game at all), it is a pretty huge scandal in the present day.
