I can't wait! Hopefully, it's half as good as the Geico caveman show on ABC was...

To be honest, I'm not surprised because it seems that Hollywood turns every crap into a movie.

Went to see Step Brothers last night which was pretty funny.
The first 5 previews almost had me walking out of the theater. It was brutal.
Only one that looked like it would be good is that one coming out with Robert Downey Jr playing a black guy.

This entire year has been pretty awful for movies. There hasn't really been a single movie I really wanted to see. The Dark Knight is about the only movie that has really piqued my interest. Even Pixar's WALL-E wasn't very impressive, and I tend to love whatever they put out. Most of the comedies look like re-hashed crap. And of the top grossing movies this year, there isn't a single one that could be a candidate for best picture. Maybe Dark Knight gets it this year? Strange.
314,925,955 Iron Man (2008)
313,781,677 The Dark Knight (2008)
313,646,685 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
208,997,686 Kung Fu Panda (2008)
206,482,007 Hancock (2008)
195,308,076 WALL·E (2008)
154,388,002 Horton Hears a Who! (2008)
150,841,566 Sex and the City (2008)
140,117,978 The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)
132,541,330 The Incredible Hulk (2008)

I have seen NOTHING on that list as of yet. Plan on seeing Dark Knight when the crowds are done.
Um...that's about it? I dunno..... sad.

I'll check out Pineapple Express, and Dark Knight eventually. That's probably about it.

Like just about anything else, quantity is up and quality is down in Hollywood as far as I'm concerned, been that way for years now. I've seen very little in terms of imagination in the movies, just remakes of old films with more explosions and special effects to excite the ADD generation. Very, very tough to find a movie with a truly unique plot these days, probably because there are fewer and fewer movie-goers like myself who appreciate them.

Last night's previews included this moronic chihuahua excursion.
A High School Musical-like disaster "for the rock star in all of us". Barf.
Another souped up race cars movie, but this one is from a prison. A quick glimpse of the black guy and I said right away, "that's either Morris Chestnut or Tyrese". It was Tyrese. It was just that easy.
There were a few more bad ones. By that time I think I was in a catatonic state.

I hear you. When it costs $20 to $30 to go to the movies, and the DVD for the same move is $19.99 to $29.99 (new) why not buy it? One can further lower their cost buy purchasing a used copy from an auction house/site (ebay, overstock, etc.). FWIW, I found the 3D version of Journey to the Center of the Earth worthwhile.

Haha. I saw the preview for that racing movie too. From prison? Really? How many times were these screenwriters beaten in skull when they were children? And who was the even more moronic producer that greenlit it? It's insane. What's worse is there are probably some people out there that are actually excited to see it.

MF if anyone over the age of 16 is excited to see that movie, they should be destroyed right now before they breed.

Haha. Yeah. I just can't help but to think that there must be some hardcore hillbilly NASCAR fans out there that would get off on it.

Good. I'm with Robyn. I'll be very sad if I'm at work and I don't get any amusing email all day. I would actually like drunken email during the day.
