dont be a pussy Pat! It doesnt hurt that much. Usually the tooth is dead or decaying big time anyway so there isnt much feeling in it.

When i got mine out the dentist said she had to take em out like a fence post. so they move it in a circle and then put it out.

The pain varies for everyone, some worse than others. I had mine pulled a few months ago and I started to feel the pain a few days after the surgery.

Pat, make sure they knock you out for it. It is much better even though it costs more. I had mine done a few months ago (I put it off like bread ) and it was fine. Make sure you change the gauze every few hours. Put ice on it like they say. This will keep you from swelling too much. I took Advil only and saved the vicodin for after If you take the Advil and it still hurts like hell, then switch to the vicodin. Good luck and don't drive yourself home, get a ride!

Only thing that blows is eating, its hard as shit to open your mouth for a week or so and the holes get filled up with food you gotta rinse out, but just stay loaded up on the painkillers and you'll be straight

It's really not that big of a deal Pat

I got one side done first then got the other side done a week later.

When I got the first side done, I left the dentist office and went straight to the movies and was chewing peanut M&Ms on the other side.

I slept the longest in my entire life after they pulled mine out. Something like 16 hours straight. I went to sleep at 11am and woke up at 3am, but didnt see the am part of my clock and thought I only slept for 4 hours to find everyone in my house alseep.

it all depends if the wisdom teeth are impacted like mine were, that makes that extra difficult for them to get em out, no fun lets put it that way. But a few weeks later, you probably won't even know it happened.

Good luck. They can go pretty smooth. If they are sitting in there more less straight you will be fine in a day. But if they are impacted or slanted it could be a week to 10 days before you will feel better.

got all 4 of mine cut out when i was around 23-24, i got put to sleep, didn't fell a thing. 3 of mine hadn't even came through, but 2 of them were going sideways and they said it was eventually going to cause problems, had a few stitches in each spot. hell i had it done at like 9 am and went home slept and was at work 3rd shift that night, and then drinking and smoking the next day, i didn't get no dry sockets everyone kept talking about.

I only had one wisdom tooth (I'm pretty stoopit) and it was just coming in so they had to cut it out last year two days before Halloween.

I thought they were going to knock me out, but they only used novocaine. Out of everything, that hurt the most. It was just uncomfortable feeling something being pulled down.

On the bright side, they do give you good drugs afterward. I somewhat remember the week after....
