    What a Rush!
Anybody remember their biggest rush from a bet? The size, the game, the circumstances. The one that stands above and beyond all the rest in your gambling career. What was it?

    97 NHL Playoffs

Game 2 Stanley Cup Finals, flew to Vegas to bet Detroit at +145 at Imperial Palace, they didn't want to take the bet but eventually did, was a $3K wager and winner.

Next day, talking to a craps dealer from Buffalo and we agreed on Bulls -3 1st half line against Utah, also $3k, same story, IP took the bet and it won.

Came home to Toronto up almost $10K on the scariest most turbulent flight I've ever been on in my life. Didn't think I was going to survive up in the air and enjoy my winnings.

That flight still gives me the chills, 11 years later!

Guess like 6 years ago I bet Wash +28.5 over miami hurricanes. Game was at the Orange Bowl. It was a revenge game for Miami but I never put stock in revenge. I bet $2,500 which was my biggest bet ever at the time. Let's just say the share price of revenge jumped mightly in my capping work afterwards. I think the final was 73-7 miami.

Lots of giant rush experiences, most recent one being the Celtics winning their 17th title. Mostly because they are my favorite team and seeing them win it all FINALLY was most of the hype. I did great with them all through the playoffs (covered EVERY game in the finals, and I was betting big on my team) and put a decent amount on their series price (+168).

Unlike a 1-game rush, this was over a period of time, and excitement through all of it!

Cashed every series price as well through the playoffs, knowing if they lost, the true tragedy would be them getting eliminated, not the $$. But they came through and hopefully they do again this upcoming season.

Panic I was in Batam Island, and it involved little money it was a pride thing. It was a game of poker and the outcome determine if I came out walking or something very bad. I couldn't just throw away the match and had to be real careful, you know how weak plays can break great hands. Panic that was a gambling rush like I've never had, rush to lose, rush to win, rush to keep it cool, rush to get out.

Mine was the Ohio St/Miami BSC Championship game in '02. I put a stack on that game, while I was hammered. I took the Buckeyes because my buddy was a big Hurricane fan and was flapping his gums like hell. This was my stupidest and most exciting and most draining bet I have laid. I was literally sober by half time. The game had knocked me into sobriety and I realized what kind of position I was in. The game went to 2 overtimes with a bunch of crazy calls and plays throughout. I said I will never throw that amount of money on a game while drunk and basically, shooting blind. The amout was 2k, but at the time that was HUGE money for me.

Back when I use to play online poker I was playing in a poker tourney. The starting tourney was $55 to enter and there was about 700 people in it. The top 3 won a spot to the next step. I got 2nd place.

Then in the next round the top 3 were going to win a $5200 seat in the Online Poker Classic. I made it to the last table, 10 people. It got down to about 6 guys and about 5 of the 6 limped in. My hand was pocket 7's. On the flop I hit a 7. A guy bet, I raised big and he immediately went all in. I called and he turned over Kings. I won the hand and knew I was going to move on then. I played it safe and ended up 2nd in that tourney too. Turned $55 into $5200. This was right before the UIGEA took effect, so they gave us the option of either playing in the $5200 a seat tourney or taking the cash. I took the cash. That 7 hitting was the biggest rush I've ever had, I was hollering. All but quit online poker after that. I'll play every now and then but nothing over about $30 tourney.

This was not the biggest bet I've ever won but definately the most I've ever made for such a small bet.
