No more tennis records without units!
Everyone knows that you can pick Federer and Nadal and average better than 50% wins (at least you used to with Federer now not so much). Please do not jack yourself off b/c you went 12-8 picking -500 favorites, remember to include units up or down to reflect actual results, thank youuuuuuuu

Betlil, he posts his picks daily and with all different players, dogs/favs etc. I don't know why people use Nadal/Federer as example, NOBODY is safe all the time in tennis, favorites lose all the time, it's just about finding value. His record is legit and counts.

If you would like to keep track differently yourself, post your own plays in tennis..

People should, and will post what they want. If you disagree with how they track them, does it really bother you that much?

I agree with the OP. I would think that not as many people go to the tennis forum, but tons of people come to Players Talk. I was thinking the exact same thing the other day. I thought, what the hell does a tennis record mean, it means absolutely nothing without units won or lost.

Shark79 the majority of the people that see your sig that you are 11-8-1 in tennis picks have no idea whether you are up or down money wise. They arent going to take the time to go to the tennis forum. This is the average Players Talk reader I'm talking about. For a tennis record to mean something you have to post your units up or down like Crazyl. Otherwise people disregard it. There is no point in putting it in your sig without units won or lost because most people dont have any idea where you stand money wise. They just ignore it.

Fine ... let me take it away for you all to be happy then ... I really posted my plays simply because I felt I wanted a record of how I was doing with the sport ... but those who also followed the Soccer Euro Cup saw the amount of money I made and no one bitched at it ... its fine ... I will keep posting my plays but not keep records of it so no one gets offended.

I agree Tsoprano he could put anything in his sig he wants. But if he wants people to recognize it as valid then he should put units won/lost.

I mean he could put "I went 14-5 on NFL Moneylines last year" and it would mean nothing. But true he could write that in his sig.

Shark I'm not offended I'm just saying that it doesnt mean anything without units won or lost. Now if it was pointspread wins and losses then it would be understandable.

                      1. I dont mind/care if ppl recognize it
                      2. Its a valid statement (every pick I make is before start of game)
                      3. The units I understand is important ... but I do this for the entertainment part of it ... nothing else ... if those who like the sport know what I say and were my edge is on the game then thats more than I ask for ... Im not here to tell you who to go with or what to do on a tennis game ... Im here for the fun of it and nothing else.

I understand ur not offended, but it does offend me that someone would open a thread being a prick about something he never wagers on. If he would at least be in the tennis forum and have a record of what he wagers on the games I would respect it.

And no Im not in the Main forum ... my answer comes from the Tennis Handicapping thread.

It tiks me off that someone would not respect someones picks simply because it doesnt have its units posted, specially, if he never has posted in the Tennis forum.

Anyway ... as you said I have nothing to prove ... my life is well spent

If you don't care if ppl follow your tennis picks or not why the fuk waste time posting a BS record in the first place? What do you think JJ is gonna jerk you off cuz you picked Nadal when he was -2000?

I'm all for prohibiting posters from including any kind of record in their signature. Hopefully the arrival of MySBR will prevent this growing trend in the future.

The main thing that you want to see is an analysis on the game. Based on that poster's analysis, you can determine whether its a good play to make or not. Records are irrelevant. Not sure about others but I don't even look at the records.
Shark and Crazy provide some good tennis analysis for some picks and should just be left to post however they want.

                                                    Thanks Staco.
