Just saw a preview for J. Edgar and it looks like it is gonna be a big hit.

He has been a main character in a lot of huge movies.
The list includes:
Titanic
Gangs of New York
Catch Me If You Can
The Aviator
The Departed
Blood Diamond
Inception
Shutter Island (probably shouldn't be on this list, but I liked it a lot)

The guy definitely deserves one... he's gotta be gettin pissed

I agree. I don't get it with him. He had "What's eating Gilbert Grape?" where he plays someone who's mentally retarded, (which gives anyone credibility) and I haven't seen him do one thing worth while since. He's not believable in anything.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape and The Basketball Diaries were good performances as well. In what kind of world do Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock have Oscars and not Leo, lol? Ryan Gosling is another actor who is long over due to win one.
