Think Chud leaving to join Rivera has hurt Rivers, new off system for him and the play calling doesnt seem to be there either, yes i lost the bet -2.5 vs KC, DEBO, anyway I was thinking thats the main reason CAM is a beast and Rivers isnt the same! Whats the best college play for the weeknd? I like LSU +5, shitty year betting NCAAF for me rolling with NFL plays! Like 49ers -2.5 and SD+7 along with ATL -7! thoughts about all this?

#3Norv Turner runs the offense. Trust me. Its the only reason he became head coach. Its just like Wade Phillips. Owners/GM fall in love with his defensive corrdinatoor prowess, and figure "Why not make him Head coach".
Norv was the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys during the glory years, and has kept a reputation as a great ofensive mind. I would agree with the rep as an inventive offensive coach. But he is not a good head coach.Comment -

#4Phillip Rivers is struggling b/c of the INJ to Antonio Gates. Same thing happened to the Cowboys when Novachek hurt his back. That's when the Cowboys started to slide, with the addition of Barry Switzers ineptitude. Gates has been their best player for th past 4 years, but INJ's have taken its toll on his playing time. Now he is back playing, though he is not in rythm. It will happen B4 it b/c a problem. They will make the playoffs.
They are a great bet this weekend.Comment -

#5I think it boils down to a lack of continuity in healthy players, not lacking Chudinski.
Gates/Floyd/Tolbert/Matthews have all been hurt at different times this season, and Patrick Crayton is a pretty shitty 3rd WR if you ask me. If Naane was still there I think they'd be better off.
I haven't been too keen on the play calling, and the run offense has not been all that consistent.
Long and short of it is that this time last season Rivers was one of the top rated passers in the league and SD was 2-5 and a long shot at best to win the division. This year his numbers are down, but they are 5-2, err, 4-3, and tied atop the division. That fluke once in a generation fumbled snap doesn't happen and they are the clear favorites. Although, it should be a concern that 3 of SD's 4 wins have come against the dregs of the league---Denver, Miami, Minnesota, and a 4th win against KC in week 3 with the Chiefs coming off back to back asswhoopings by the Bills and Lions.
But none of that really matters. It's 16 weeks not 8, and if the Chargers beat GB this weekend all the talk will be about how SD is a legit Superbowl contender and that Rivers is a true leader who knows how to battle back from adversity. And don't sleep on SD this week. GB has a weak pass defense, and hasn't shown a great ability to run the football, and SD's pass D is pretty good. Rodgers is awesome, but you can bet the Chargers are going to come out jacked and ready to compete. They win this game and the could very easily win the next 4, and then when they're 8-3, is anyone going to give a shit about what Rivers' numbers are?
The truth of the matter is that if Rivers doesn't fumble the snap and SD wins @ Arrowhead (always a tough place to play) then the Chargers are 5-2 and everyone excuses Rivers' subpar numbers to bad bounces and other forgiveable circumstances. And he has had some tough breaks. I'd say at least 4-5 of his picks have either been dropped by his WRs/bounced off their hands or tipped at the line of scrimmage.
Maybe SD just isn't that good this year. Maybe Rivers is hiding an injury. Maybe he is distracted as Tomlinson says. He does have 6 fukking kids and that shit's crazy for a dude his age. And Jackson/Floyd have both looked a step slow/out of sync. Whatever the case, I wouldn't bet too heavy against SD the second half of the season. At least, not until the playoffs start. Norv will always find ways to fuk up during the playoffs.
I think it might be a good thing for SD that Rivers has struggled. Now the team is in the position to build/grow together, upwards, and peak come January. No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.Comment -

#8Rivers minus gates and a running game scares nobody. They just dont have anything but v Jackson long balls to scare opponents, and that can be contained.Comment -

#9Rivers may be a lot of things, but spoiled brats don't play on torn knee ligaments and they don't own up for their mistakes like men after a tough loss. He's a tough kid with strong character. No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.Comment
