if the internet and gambling was this easy back when u were 21 what do you think you would be like now??

odds are , fat as me and look like jj. Not a good combo. All these young guns getting banned maybe a good thing. At least their getting buried while being young instead of later. Maybe they will succeed at something else.

I could just imagine what sbr would of been like if around in the 80's and 90's.

Half of us would probaly be dead.

That's a great question. Some of us would still be playing catch up.

yes, from the pool hall to the harness track, and then sports betting started, first with the parlay cards (ties lose) and only paid 10 for 1 on 4 teamer. (knew we were being shorted even then) after that the local bookies offered straight sides only (no totals or halftime bets) and charged 12-10 which you had to accept. from there they soon offered teasers (juice and ties lose) which we fought against and they finally dropped the juice. then took 20 years off and lo and behold the internet arrived.

It's all about discipline. I'm 34 and started internet wagering around 21. I actually had back surgery from wrestling school and I couldn't work for about a year. I made $1,500 first month wagering (beginners luck)....

But, it's all about discipline with your body. I think when you lose a bad beat... and always worry about money in play... it takes it's toll on your self-esteem. My body weight fluctuated a lot when I was 24-26. Those were the years I learned a lot about life. Especially when gambling. You owe it to yourself to improve your body. You were given only one body... and you must keep it healthy for life. Gambling will always be here... but your internal health won't. Everyone should do cardio 45 minutes a day 4 out of 7 days a week minimum. I'm not talking lifting weights... just get yourself on a treadmill, stair climber, exercise bike, or just walk at a fast pace 45 minutes a session. It does some justice... I'm telling you. You'll feel better.

                                  Good question

age 10-12 pitched nickels and dimes against a wall, closest won.

12 pitched bb cards against wall closest won. This was destroying the cards so I practiced for a week and then convinced everyone tossing them to home plate from the pitchers mound was better. Cleaned the entire school in one morning. meeting with the principal ensued.

12-17 I was the guy you got the football cards from. I think I got 20/25% good deal. Was already hooked with bookie. And yes the local pool hall. Good enough to run 6 straight racks of what you know as 9 ball but we did the same with 8.

17 ... Sports betting and the greyhound track until they changed the rules and then faced reality. Hey I made it until 38.

Happily married (yes she lived through it all) and successful child through college.

Bet 3K on a game in 1978/79. I'd have a stroke if I lost 3K now and I can afford it. Football was a lot easier then IMO as it was more consistent. Hell one year I think I teased Dal/Wash/ or possibly the NYG to near ML and won 13/14 weeks.

                                  Still miss it though.

On a similar note I lost the final leg of one of the first pick 6's with 5 dogs in the final race. It was the worst $$ beat in my life ... 250K. Syndicate hit it the next night or 2 at 500K. I often wonder what woud have become of me.

I often refer to Dwight Gooden. World series MVP 5Mill (80's) contract and no one could understand why a 19 yr old (or close anyway) was busted for 110mph in a new corvette loaded with cocaine and guns. Fla was a crazy place in the 80's.
