The Inter-Google has run wild today with speculation about the cracked bone in the foot of New York Giants’ running back Ahmad Bradshaw. There have been reports saying the injury is not serious and Bradshaw will play Sunday against the New England Patriots. There have been other reports that Bradshaw may opt for surgery and miss the rest of the season.

Oh, my! Who to believe? Well, Giants’ coach Tom Coughlin was hardly helpful Thursday during his meeting with reporters, saying only that he “will wait and see.”

“I really don’t know any more than what you have been told,” Coughlin said. “He has had issues in the past and he has played with a crack or whatever you want to call it in his foot. He has played that way in the past and we don’t know what the determination will be just yet. We will wait and see.”

Coughlin did say that if Bradshaw does not play the Giants will try not to change their offense.

“We are going to try to do what we do in our offense,” Coughlin said. “We have been able to do that in the past with both backs, and now Danny Ware will get more work and we will see how that goes.”

In other injury news, Coughlin said that wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) is “feeling better” but offered no speculation on his status for Sunday. Coughlin said starting center David Baas (knee) did not practice).
