The players are close to breaking. The know they screwed up when they didn't decertify last June. The two union guys (Fisher & Hunter) are fighting behind doors and the owners know they "own" the players on this one.

Two more weeks and the players fold, they really haven't any other choice otherwise they get crapped on like the NHL players.

Actually not decertifying was the smart move. NFL was ale to use that tactic, b/c of a lack of guaranteed contracts. The NBA has 100% guaranteed contracts, and decertifying would void all contracts. The owners would have done backflips if the union made that decision.

In conclusion, the owners won the negotiations B4 they started. Players as a whole have no leverage. Maybe the top 5% of the league would be able to find well paying jobs overseas, but the majority are SOL.
