Anyone planning on purchasing a big NFL futures bet on the weekend of 22nd&23rd?
Just wondering if anyone is thinking on making some decent sized NFL futures bets in Las Vegas on the 22nd&23rd weekend? Will the odds change alot due to a team doing better or worse than expected in the preseason games? The shopping around is a little tiresome but you feel like shit when someone says you got hosed if you jump on the first sportsbook's offering.

Do you get people from back home that know you are going to Vegas place orders for an NFL Super Bowl futures bet.I always got them as gifts for people and they got lucky a few years back when I bought them $5 200-1 Rams tickets.Beats buying people a box of Ethel M chocolates that melt on the plane before making it home.

I never trust buying futures tickets with online sportsbooks.I like having the ticket in my hand.

Anyone ever buy expansion team futures from a few years back at 2500 -1?I think I still have one from the Timberwolves.

        NBA/NFL Futures story I heard

When the NFL or NBA last expanded, some Millionaire waggered that one of the 2 teams would win the finals within 2-3 years. There was like 300-1 odds, he put down a mill. One of the teams came pretty close, and the book offered him a 10mill buyout on the ticket. He declined, and lost.

ANybody have a better grasp of this story then I do? I think it was NFL with Carolina

never heard it, both NFL teams were good by their 2nd year but neither made it to the Super Bowl, until Carolina did a long time later. No NBA time would make sense really

If that was the bet both expansion teams were in the conference title game at the same time the 2nd season, so he was in great shape, but obviously couldn't take a 10mil buyout with 2 of the 4 remaining teams left
