I don't really care about the ghost accounts because its pretty obvious which poster's are ghosts but just the fact that this whole subject is mentioned fairly often, it should be some sort of indication to the "higher ups" to do something about this stuff before some good posters leave this board

I can tell a ghost from a mile away and a paid poster from two miles away. If the owners were sharp they would have paid for sports talking paid posters instead of clowns and hermaphrodites.

Too many ghosts and that's my pet peeve with SBR. EOG has way too many paid posters and SBR has a ghost problem. Neither does anything about it.

Imagine a newbie reading that thread upon joining, instant EOG convert.

I'm not real sure about which thread in particular we're speaking of as I was enjoying a day away from the asylum on Sunday. But if any single thread here causes someone to join any other forum, then I wish them well since that sort of thin-skinned, over-sensitivity simply isn't going to work at this site. Usually when something goes over the line in the least bit, someone at least reports it and suggests it's not a good thread for our site or such-&-such forum, should be moved to private. But not one report along those lines that I can see came through since Saturday a.m.

There are a multitude of threads/posts that I find either offensive or downright useless. For the most part, unless someone else agrees, i.e., reports the thread, I just look at it as a few people yacking on one end of the bar and there are seats at the other end where I can sit and not hear one bit of their conversation.

For the record, there have been two new accounts disabled for being that 'G' word, ghosts, since last Friday. One was a registration by a paid poster at another website who just gets their johnson all knotted up sometimes when they're here.

This particular forum is the lobby, the bar, whatever. If you only want to read serious handicapping stuff, go to the sports specific forums. If you want to occasionally check out who's in the bar, drop in the Players Talk and be silly if you wish. If someone really bugs you, IGNORE them. If a post or thread seems over the line, REPORT it .

Now unless anyone objects to such frivolity, I'm going to go shake me a second martini. Who wants one?
