LaRussa should give Dave Duncan a blowjob punch card on the way out for the reputation he has "earned" through the media and other people who don't follow MLB all that closely and think he's a genius.

Duncan is now the top free agent on the market.

The man has coached 33 years in the majors without taking a break. You don't see that too often anymore. St Louis has been fortunate with managers like LaRussa, Herzog, and Torre in the last 30 years. It'll be interesting to see what direction they go from here.

                              This doesn't really bother me.

                              Losing Duncan would hurt more.

Larussa is a decent manager but vastly overrated. The Cards have the best player in the game (Pujols), best catcher in the game (Molina), and best pitching coach in the league Duncan. If we can keep those guys we will be fine especially after we get Wainright back.

I've been a Cardinals fan my entire life btw.

I would have loved to see Buck Showalter coach the Cardinals. He won't do anything in Baltimore.

guy cant go to espn or mlbn because he's a c0cksucker....no other place for him in the game than to be a manager...cant see him wanting to be an exec based on how he overmanages games....he'd have to have his fingers in everything

Was about to say the same thing. He even turned punto into a decent hitter. Turned Molina around this year too, which was huge. Coulda been a big part of berkman's successful year too

Good move in his part because ownership is tight wad and won't be paying Pujols. Great call La Russa
