Why some teams cover and some teams don't games they dominate
For example why does Notre Dame cover easily today vs Navy and why didn't TCU cover last night giving up a meaningless TD at the end?

    The answer:

    Alumni/Boosters.

Coaches feel the pressure to give up money they receive from alumni/boosters they receive in off season. So once a season the coaches circle a game they think they can run up the score or keep it under the spread and notify alumni/boosters before the game. This is their little thank you gift for all their support. Alumni/boosters proceed to hammer this game and get rich.

Then you must have no shame. Pavy is a top 10 pt poster. Better fit at gamelive though. More posters of his caliber.

              Where is this guy?

He was ok, I LOVED his "memo" theory about the last weeks of MLB season.

fukk, what do I know, it could all be true! I probably sound just as insane sometimes.

For those that don't know, Pavy said a memo was sent to all MLB teams to make the playoffs race more tight, so the teams that were already in were suppose to tank games to let lesser teams have a better chance.

Actually, it did seem like that happened, ie Rays.
Guess the Red Sox followed the memo too personally.

That's hilarious. I don't know why people lie on SBR.

He was alright though, I remember he was doing well in the NBA playoff contest.

I agree with his "system" to fade teams that have a big home series next. That's a great system till we posted it. Seriously, beginning of 2011, that system was rock-solid, especially for the Pirates and Brewers, then everyone posted it and now it doesn't work as well.
