This is a great question. They are playing like the oldNebraska defenses for once. I believe it's nothing more than a fluke. I neither cheer for or against Nebraska however it's nice to see them dominating this side of the ball.

I think its a combination of things. First off I think its coaching and game planning. The Nebraska coaches are finally starting to figure out the big ten and its showing.

Also they lost a lot in the secondary last season. All but 1 player is new in the secondary for the huskers. They were having some growing pains but they are really starting to come on now and the coaches have been experimenting with new guys back there as well. They took Stanley Jean Baptiste who was a 6'3 220lb WR and switched him the CB the week of the OSU game and he ended up with a INT that game and has been in the rotation ever since.

Blackshirts are starting to get it together and its only going to get better for the huskers.
