I don't play the pools at TheGreek at all sir, so not sure what the average entry amounts are. However here are the rules that will better answer your other questions.

I've played them a lot -- won a couple. Here is the lowdown:

The lower limit pools draw the most people. I like the $10 pool myself. Generally 25-50 people in that one for a decent return.

They do post all picks after the pools closes (just before the first game), and usually it takes 11-5 to be in contention, and 12 or 13 is usually the winner. In the higher limit pools, they might only be 4-10 players, and 10 or 11 wins can win it.

      The Greek keeps 5%.

Most of the pools split ties so if three people go 11-5, they all three split the dough. Let me know if I missed anything. You won't get rich with the pools, but I like it because I have action in all games but only bet the games I like with normal wagers. It keeps the degenerate action junkie in me happy, but also allows me to wager responsibly and intelligently.

Never knew about these pools. Sounds good and I'm with mtneer 1212 in that it should keep the reckless bets to a minimum by having some sort of action on all the games.
