When your favorite team doesn't win much and gets this close, the pain is a lot more real and lasting. If you like the Yankees or Lakers or whoever, you know there will more than likely be other opportunities. If your team is the Rangers, you realize this might be it given the franchise's track record -- the patience and the long-standing misery is what amplifies it.

here is my advice put like 10,000 bucks on the Cardinals ML tonight and that way you will be happy either way. It sounds like to me you would gladly lose 10,000 to have your Rangers win the championship. But if they lose you will still have 10,000 profit.
