    Will K-Rod break Thigpens record?
K-Rod currently has 45 saves, just 12 behind Bobby Thigpen's all-time record of 57. Do you think K-Rod will break the saves record?

Yes I do, but I think he will slow down from this torrid pace. My guess is 60 or 61.

Wasn't Gagne on pace to blow this record away a few years ago? I guess anything can happen, but I also think he breaks it.

Yep, He'll probably get in the mid-60's after it's all said and done.

K-Rod sucks. He just gets a lot of opportunities for saves. A majority of the time he weasels his way out of jams.

He's a good closer, but he's not the best in the game.

IMO, he's a little bit overrated. I've had to sweat out a lot of 9th innings because he can never seem to retired the side in order.

He's about a month ahead of Thigpen's pace right now. Obviously, good health is the key. If he stays healthy, with as many close games as the Angels play, he'll get the record with plenty of room to spare.
