im an avid follower of my towns high school football team. i have no kids in the district (or at all for that matter) but i still like to go to the games on a friday night. they are a top 5 team in the state and play against very tough competition week in and week out. in fact, 6 of the teams in the section are in the top 25 in the state. its not like im there creepin on the high school girls or reliving my glory days, i never even played a down of organized football in my life. its just pure competition to me and i like to watch it play out. even though high school football is very big in my area, i get a lot of negative comments from people who are big sports fans themselves, which doesnt really bother me, but kinda surprises me. anyone else have this type of thing happen to them?

been to lots and lots and lots of high school games. rivalries, sheep-to-the-slaughter games, whatever. i have a good friend that will usually go with me and we'll bet on 10-15 things/game. pointspread, plays, quarters, drives, whatever. it's a good time and then we go to the bars.

I go to high school basketball games. AAU tournaments are better, but even many high school games can be quality. Not really into high school football. With bbaComment
