im 2 hours from st louis and postponing games this early is just stupid, it really doesnt rain that much here at night. It rains from late afternoon to 6 pm more than anything,

Not playing tonight in cold and terrible weather is an advantage for the Rangers. They may actually win game 6 now.

Washington was pushing for postponement as well. He didn't want a possible start / stop game with the Rangers in position to close it out.

How can they get a break from an event beyond their control? Now if a pipe bursts in the stadium and the pitch was flooded you can say they got a break but they can't make rain.

Huh? Why does a "break" have to be under their control?

If the entire Rangers lineup comes down with the flu, the Cardinals have caught a break. Anything that is unexpected and works in a team's favor can be classified as a "break"
