Reckon it's funny that the same folks crying about this were the same ones to give their Paypal addresses out to the scammer during last year's Super Bowl. Risk compromising your account security for a free $5 or $10 then moan that SBR hasn't protected you enough.

Anyway, using SBRforum to collect poster account numbers or other details is prohibited, even if it's under the guise of sending funds to them for nothing. The user in question previously had PM access removed, then to circumvent that restriction used the forum to collect poster details.

Beyond that, poster statuses aren't commented on publicly - though most bans are never permanent.

Thanks for clearing that up. I figured it was against the rules to exchange emails and set up payment systems.

Not sure it did. But we still have a few rules. This poster was aware of them, warned and only as a last resort banned.

I was making light heated fun at the poster who seem to indicate SBR does it and it's ok. And they ate 1000% right. This is a business and an extremely expensive one to operate. I didn't graduate from the Wharton school of business but it seems easy to figure out that SBR should be the only one to conduct commerce on the forum.

I got free money from him the first time, I ignored his subsequent threads so that others would have a chance, but the bottom line is he was apparently never warned about how what he was doing was wrong. Seems like he had his PMs shut off without being told why, do you really think he would have kept making the threads if he had gotten an infraction and told to stop making them?

Fair enough, rules are rules, the issue I saw stemmed from how the ban was handed down. If I am wrong about that then I would apologize but obviously if SBR cant comment on it then people are going to back up the guy handing out free cash.
