That might be it because it had to be someone who was NOT in the top 100 until that last update. That really sucks for me if I finish in 101st

why can't the top 40 qualify ? instead number 100 may get to play in finals, while number 21 gets knocked out .

Just be glad that your Ryder Cup points counted!

But you still almost have a bye to the second round. It wont be as hard as you might think. Lets see, only 21-50 can play in your opening tourney. Of that 30 players, a MAXIMUM of 25 players will actually show up. I am actually thinking possibly less than that, more like 22. So you have a 40% chance or so of advancing. Hell, the best strategy might be to not even play a hand and you would advance.

I am in the bottom 50 and I would think that only around 35 of those will be able to make it for that tourney. So I dont have near as good of a chance, but still around 30%

The higher you go on the list the worse the players get.

The difference between player #21 and player #100 on the list is nothing. It's not like some beginner is going to be playing against Phil Ivey.

well no top 100 today for me. Had top pair going to river clown goes all in and catches a straight. Oh well had a good run good luck to top 100 in tourney.

Do you think that this is fair? You have already done it, but it is not the way this should run. The best twenty players should get a first round bye and not the players, who are willing to pay the most money for positions at the final table.

Probably not - but tbh, the structure isn't designed for the best 20 players (and sure, I'm well aware you're a much better player than me).

I did have vastly bigger stack than the other guy at the time anyway, so just a security blanket.

i got one more chance, gonna have to be the 8pm as we got halloween tonight, and 4th place (200 points) would put me in a tie for 100th.

i'm obviously going to win the 8pm, i'm just curious about the tiebreaker just in case.

A tie for exactly 100th place would result in both players making the field. Good luck CB.
