I don't know if that's the case, but I do think he knew the injury was worse than he let on and made sure he got paid first when he signed his deal.

Manning doesn't play defense or running back however he does play qb. Surely you understand this teams offensive attack is heightened when manning is playing qb. In turn the running game is now more efficient along with a more rested defense. This allows different offensive and defensive schemes. Not to mentioned a ton of pressure is taken of the defensive side of the ball when your team is actually scoring. Surely you aren't saying only the qb rating goes up when manning is starting for the colts. Manning makes them a completely different team.

If Colts had Peyton this year, they go around 11-5.

P.S. Manning does kinda play defense. When Manning has the ball for those long ass drives he likes to go on, the defense is off the field. The other team cant score if they arent on the damn field so much.
