*** teams coming off a bye week last week were 1-5
teams coming off a bye week last week were 1-5 straight up

the same teams against the spread .... 3 didn't cover, 2 covered the line and 1 push

Baltimore, Dallas, Miami, St. Louis, Washington, Cleveland
(last weeks teams that came off the bye week)

what does that mean? maybe nothing. Just thought it was interesting because I figured that teams with a bye week will have an extra week to get ready for the game and thus an advantage. What I forgot was that according to the player's union, the player's cannot even go to the stadium or practice facility for 3 or 4 days during that week off.

    Just thought I'd share.

    BOL today boys

next week is Buffalo, Cincinnati, N.Y. Giants, Philadelphia, San Francisco, New England

I guess we'll see if the percentage stats close to form.

                I noticed this too.
I think I found out why.
The new CBA mandates that players get four consecutive days off from team supervision. No coaching allowed. Before, there was no such rule. I think teams aren't as prepared for the next game as you might think.

The fact that the team is coming off the bye week is already factored into the line, so I wouldn't try to find an edge with stuff like this.

I'm pretty sure it's because most of the teams coming off the bye week were terrible. Look at your list:

Baltimore, Dallas, Miami, St. Louis, Washington, Cleveland

4 of those 6 suck (last 4). Went 1-5 SU.

Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, Seattle, Tennessee

3 of those teams suck. Went 2-4 SU.

                        Next week will be:

Buffalo, Cincinnati, N.Y. Giants, Philadelphia, San Francisco, New England

I expect those teams to be 4-2 SU, possibly 5-1.

                        Totally contextual, IMO.

This is true...however everything is taken into consideration when the line is created. These guys don't miss much.
