shari i appreciate your point, the point i was trying to make was that NZ didn't choke, they won, simple, it was never going to be an easy game and the public and books for that matter were going into this match thinking it was a foregone conclusion, strange because line movement in this world cup has been very sharp, not in this case

Yeah I don't think the Kiwis choked either. They played a tough opponent and at the end it could've gone either way. That's how a final should be. Whether they won by 1 or 100, doesn't matter. They did what they had to in order to win. If they'd been blown out by 25+ points then ok, people could say they choked considering they were the heavy favourites. For a match that started off really dull (in my opinion), I found myself really into it at the end. And of course was happy with the result.

The last 20 mins of the game was great, and i thought the kiwis did it well with the post game festivities, it was obvious the entire city was captured with the game which is the way it should be
