you guys are missing the theory behind getting the best number. Guys who get the best number are going to win long term. If you get the best number books will fear you...if you get any old number and win books could care less about you and for good reason...they know sooner or later lack of attention to getting the best number will come back and bite you in the ass. I mean seriously if you had an opportunity to get a number like -2.5 and you have to settle for -3.5 in football....you are a square 100%.

I heard Bill Dozer say that Pinnacle doesn't care if you win, they do not
look at that at all to determine if a player is sharp.

They only look at the lines you get!! If you keep getting
good line after good line they will consider you sharp

Here's a simplistic system that isn't too bad as a beginning strategy that I've used:

Track imgv94, Razz, and Illusion's picks. Bet 1 unit if any of them like a certain line, and if all 3 agree, then bet 3 units, if two disagree then bet zero (they cancel out), etc. Double it if they absolutely LOVE the game, so if all 3 absolutely love a certain line, then bet 6 units. Then make all of your bets on Pinnacle, because Pinnacle has the best line generally 80-90% of the time anyway.

You can refine the system by looking for lines at other sportsbooks, or adding other good cappers to the equation. If you are looking to cap for yourself at all, it's a long hard road, and you'll only get an idea of your winrate after 100's of picks and lots of statistical analysis. I'd recommend following the forum veterans at first, and learn to crawl before you walk. I've been betting for almost a year, and I still have less confidence in my ability to cap than when I first started, and I've had some good results. The more I learn about handicapping, the more difficult I realize that it is to do well.

Bottom line: Be a regular at this forum, read and contribute and the road to competence begins. It can't happen overnight, give it time to develop. Hopefully, I'll be following your picks, then you'll know that you've truly arrived!

Thanks slacker!! I will admit when Razz and/or Illusion like
what I like it usually wins. I myself even put an extra unit or two
when I see they are on it!!

umm if you haven't noticed yet Slacker, IMGV is anything but a sharp....

I'd like to see evidence for the theory of when three cappers like a game how that works

Yeah, i don't track it enough like I should. But those three guys are right more than they are wrong. But then again, some panzy ass on here thinks The Great One and IMG are the same.

I think if TGO and I were the same the Mods would of found out by
now. Like I said while buddybear was gone from SBR he got raped by
some dude. Thats the only explanantion why he is like this.

Do you ever see buddybear in the Hot or Not Threads? TGO? Do you
see him commenting on chicks NO? He is defending whores who say
they got raped with no DNA evidence. He got raped that why he is
                    so sensitive about it.

Umm...several mods have told me that you have aliases around here so don't pretend IMGV that you don't. i guess i am not a littl 17 year old perv in the hot or not threads...i have better things to do with my time.

ummm yeah, congrats on that rockies win you old sharp.....with a record like 46-78-4 -38.37 you'll need a lot more of those type of games to get out of the hole. Glad you could get one back today....wasn't there a point in time where you thought you were a sharp and quit your job only to go bankrupt doesn't sound like a sharp to me....need to find that thread again and post it.

Anyway...got to go. With the light baseball schedule tonight I've made room in my schedule for three girls to come over to hang out so I got to get ready. take care and see you guys tomorrow.
