I know I got one from sportsbook.com a long time ago...it was pretty solid too but they shut it off after I pulled funds out and stop betting.

Dont want to have to make calls or anything, or even log onto websites and all that hassle, just a simplescroll down device that isnt too big. (for the car, or whatever.)

there's a dude on e-bay who sell them, says it is a one time fee , no monthly bills, i ain't did it, but i'm interested. so if you get one let me know how it pans out. i'm like you i hate trying to use my cell, half the time my browser says it can't access the page.

Yea, and by the time the damn sites loaded while your doing a few things, u need to refresh it all over again. Would rather a 1 time scroll of an auto-updated portable scoreboard.

Yeah it takes about 8 seconds to load a page on mine. That's far longer than the two minutes it takes to update a sports pager...

The point is I want my phone to be my phone/mp3 player. Im not trying to mix sports scores into it, and it sucks for the internet anyway.

yes, they do. alot of business people and doctors have them. most utility companies workers have them.

i don't need an iphone or blackberry, i don't need to do a zillion things, i just need to make calls and receive calls, and check scores, and since my phones browser doesn't load half the time i have thought about the sports pagers also.

I dont need an Iphone. My phone works great with the feature of being a phone for phone calls, and as a bonus holds songs and has shitty, but functionable internet service which I dont want all jammed up with a scoreboard. An additional little device to keep in the car would be nice it seems.

I know all the advantages of an Iphone, but I dont want a phone that big, its ridiculous. My phone is nice and small and slim. Just a small pager to keep in the dashboard of the car would be fine with me.

I just go to ESPN on my phone and have the page on auto refresh and it just sits in my pocket updating scores, I bring it out whenever I need to look at it.

I have the sidekick lx btw, and im tired of lugging around a bigger styled phone. Ill probably just see if I can get my internet service speedned like I did on the sidekick3 model.
