Therefore, I have concluded that the most common way gamblers go broke is by losing wagers. In the case of the above mentioned situation the gambler put his money on the team that lost, when in fact the object is to put ones money on the team that wins. This wrong prediction results in the gamber losing his money, or "going broke".

I guess but who bets multiple team parlays as much as a standard play? If you have 3 parlays with the same team in it and they lose, usually you just lose what equals to an above average wager on one team.....atleast that's what I do. 2-teamers are a different story however.
