Would be a typical Yankees pickup, over-paid veteran with diminishing skills.

Should of kept Farnsworth! Yea he would get sloppy sometimes, but so what, he was learning. They all do at times, even Rivera gave up the winning run last night.

Got rid of a young guy which is what they are gonna need more of...

Doesn't seem good but we'll see.

              Typical Tigers move. Unreal.

Farnsworth was whoreshit in 05. Lets get rid of our best catcher in our system to get his back. Unfukkinreal.

No better than Molina in that regard.

Both Giraldi and and Kyle were crying it seems about the "emotional trade."

LOL Edwar Ramirez sounded so funny in his interview about getting ejected from todays game.

                    Tone,

Pudge was the face of the Tigers. More emotions here are in the air I bet.

it's been known that he wasn't going to resign here, inge would take over. Pudge has been playing every other day anyway.

They need help in the pen, don't care for Farnsworth though. Not surprised at all that Pudge is gone

They need a starter. Pen is legit.

Nice fill-in for a little extra offense at C. Cashman seriously should be exec of the year at the rate he's been raping.

Great deal. Kyle is a FA after the year and there was no way the Yanks were going to put big money on him again ... even during this year, which he has been better, the ball still flies out of the park at a record rate ...

Pudge has a great gun - necessary against teams in the Angels ... and he can hit much better than the .220 Molina ... great move ...

Pudge can't hit. He stopped doping.

.295 so far this year ... I'll take that 'not being able to hit' from the number 8 spot in the lineup ... Molina has been hitting .220 ... seems like a definitive improvement to me ...

Yanks still will not do anything of substance in September. Why not go after Tex and Zaun instead? Same old Yankees, buying names not games.

Pudge has a gun of an arm, is a .290-.300 hitter and is only under contract until the end of this year, as was Farnsworth ... Posada will be back next year so the Yanks were looking for a catcher this year and this year only ...

And if you'd like to compare Pudge's playoff experience with Zaun's, be glad to do that with you as well ...

Sometimes names win games ... Pudge is one of those names.
