Posts: 516 Why Do Most Horseplayers Have Old Cars??
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A very strange thing indeed. I will go first here in this discussion. I drive a 78 Doge Van (to keep all my **** in) and bet a minimum of 15k a day in horse volume. The thing is my money is tied up so I really cannot afford a newer type car and that does sound strange. It is frustrating when the fukkin van stalls at intersections and stuff but I refuse to get like a 84 Caddy (my dream car).
93% of guys that bet horses have old cars also but I would think most due to gambling on the ponies have no other choice but too drive old cars. I would say I am a rare exception here that can afford 5 cars if I wanted to and where talking Lexus type ****.
Go to a track and all banged up cars for the most part and old and I am talking more about regular players and not 2x a year players.
I would bet over 1k here that almost every poster has a very old car because of chasing the dream to be a professional capper like me and make good money. A dream that is just hard not too chase. Boys I have been there and believe me you are better off learning golf and get yourselves a better car and have a better life .
I am only here to teach you boys and girls and I want you all to learn from me as maybe only 1 or 2 guys might be brighter than me on any forum. I like the guys and gals here so do not take offense as most of what I assume about you guys is very accurate and I guess with my experience I do have the talent to poster profile.
I know for a fact that guys like Alysheba and Inisde The Pylons both horse junkies have cars from the 1980's. Am I making fun of them?? No I am not but using them as examples what compulsive horseplaying does to you. I am sure both strong family men and good people though. Its a shame when a few times I was at a NY City OTB and see a poster that pulls into lot or street with such a beat up car it is a real shame and betting like crazy and across the street a young yuppy couple going to eat at a nice restaurant that has a Lexus and they do not gamble and they look and frown at the horse degenerate.
I know they must think the same of me but I a not the norm but the exceptioon of a guy that is big time in the pocket book but everyone thinks I am broke by the old van I drive.
yes my money is tied up but maybe even if I took some cash out of my racing accounts I would stick to the van as it is conveniant to store stuff and sell stuff out of it.
Again this post is directed at the active horseplayer and most of you fall into this category. Now I want you all to read this and re evaluate your betting habits and maybe back away a little and clean yourselves up.
Good Luck and remember MOST women do not like degenerate horse players and finally do not take offense here as I like you boys and gals.
