I don't know how Napoli was so good in the 2h of the season and I really don't know how he was hitting .316 in the post season going in to his last at bat. I watched the Tigers series with the Rangers and I can only remember one hit. His swing and confidence are both horrific. Terrible at bat there and cost the Rangers a chance to score. This is the 2nd straight start where Carpenter is NOT on his A game. They need to get to him

One way to get to him is to work is pitch count and put guys on base like the did last inning. Consistently swinging away when ahead in the count is not the way...2-0 and Michael Young was eager to swing away...

Also I said this in the ALCS and then ALDS, I don't think I have seen Ron Washington even attempt as double steal. Carpenter was a little wild last inning, 2 on 1 out, perfect situation for the double steal. It seems like so many managers are afraid to use it.
