Movie is not as bad as many say it is, it is a very dark & depressing one. 15-20mins could have been edited out so to pick up the tempo, the middle dragged worse than the rest. I can understand why the gen public hated it.

I think in many cases gamblers saw a piece of themselves in each of the degenerates portrayed in the movie therefore disliked what they saw.

i saw this a few years ago. also couldnt remember the title. i thought it was entertaining. star-studded cast.
