It really is fukkin sweet. Could see it working in the NHL. With all the demand in Canada and all the various teams it could potentially work.
Maybe MLB, but probably not, people are not passionate enough about baseball anymore. NBA it wouldn't work. Just not enough passion with the local fan bases in those leagues. The reason it works is because of tons of local support. It's about the sweater, not the players.

yep, it really is an odd phenomenon. you see teams going from the 1st division to the 3rd division and keep all of their fanbase and attendance, and in most sports your team starts 0-5 and everyone runs away as fast as they can.. it's another world.
