I noticed early in year against Sampras when Pete almost beat him every time.

Fed is still reeling from the Wimbledon loss. You have to understand that it was his most disappointing loss of his career. It would have broken the 5 straight Wimbledon championships held by a couple of other players and cemented himself as the best tennis player ever. As it stands, he will be tied for eternity. Plus it was against Nadal who has kept him from the French title. Nadal has his clay, the grass was supposed to be for Fed.

I bet Fed has a hard time even going out there on the court now. Its not that he has lost his touch its just that he is not emotionally in it. Maybe come US Open time he will bounce back but I doubt it. He wanted 6 straight Wimbledons. He may never recover from that.

I think so shark. I think he will win the French before its all over with though. Now that the 6th straight Wimbledon is an afterthought, the only thing left for him to do is win the French. Or maybe try for a grandslam but there is so much talent out there now with the Joker and Nadal. Tough to win a Grand Slam now, his main goal will be to win the French.

only way he wins a french is if nadal gets injured, fed had his chances 3 times in the finals and just couldnt get it done, not meant to be,

re the wimbledon talk, dont forget that he was won 4 straight us opens so you know he wants that 5th,

and i dont understand why the 6th wimbledon (13th slam) wouldve made him 'the greatest ever'. 12 or 13 are both behind sampras's 14, so it really doesnt matter. if fed had won a french, then you put him as the greatest ever because sampras never won one at the french, or if fed gets the 15th you put him #1,

as it stands, even with 12 compared to petes 14, i still put fed ahead of pete because he made 3 finals at the french, pete made the semis at the french just once, each guy won the other 3 slams
