I can't believe we ran this the first time for like 3 hours at a 100 point max.

This is a fun promo but if we run it next week I think you will see it at a 15 point max.

and by the way you can bet less.

This is not a good promo for little bettors.
It seems though everyone that bet max won a lot, people betting small 1 or 2 points got screwed..
Did anyone bet max...and lost allot?????

yeah, that forum has definitely become fairly entertaining lately..i mostly just read peoples' bets in mex/thad's books, laugh at non-pros asking for 200 point loans and obviously harass carseller every chance i get.

could've won a bet, i definitely would have bet that you couldn't see other people's book balances. learn something new every day.

You could lose, see above, the 2SD range covers about 95%. Somebody would no doubt get the bottom 1% range though, and get ***ed for -1000 or whatever. That's the nature of blackjack :-)

How would it possibly make sense to somehow set the software to let bigger bettors win and smaller ones lose?

The reason people who bet less sometimes lose in these is because they lose 5-10 hands, quit, and call it rigged.

Variance is still a huge part of it. You have to play a fair number of hands to take advantage of your edge.

That's why SBR was banking on a quick score tonight lol

I lost 2850 points at 100pts/hand about a month ago when SBR had a 3:1 payout promo. Have since won it back and more though, just keep grinding.

A lot less people were taking advantage back then b/c the promo wasn't famous yet.

That and BJ paid "only" 3:1 not 4:1. Still, surely the idea of the promo is to get new bettors into the casino which means you want more people playing.
