He could become distracted counting his net check for the week minus expenses, minus fines, interest, federal taxes, and FICA deductions. With that inferior computer chip that one poster mentioned, it's only natural he's going to be behind Brady. Let me ask you a question--How come last year he stayed in the pocket, was seldom sacked, and looked like a veritable god, and the press and public were mesmerized at his discipline and talent and thought he and the dream team would have a cakewalk to the superbowl. That's why 'linemakers' don't write for the sport pages. Who knows what's in the mind of the offensive line. Last year as soon as Belicheck smelled an ounce of possible dissension on the Patriots, Randy Moss was gone, freeing up the team to concentrate on their main objective of protecting and supporting Brady and winning football games.

Vick is very weak in blitz recognition. He also has an an inferior OLine to protect him. The philly passing game focuses on longer passes and his receivers aren't very strong on hot reads and not as effective or reluctant on the the quick slants and short over the middle passes.

Brady is very quick and can continually burn blitzing teams. The Pats offense is based on the short passes which can hurt heavy blitzing teams. Brady reads blitzes very well and so do his receivers and know how to adjust the routes to the read. They have Welker who is probably the best WR in the league on those short quick routes and they also use a bunch of 2 TE sets and have very talented TE's. Most blitzes involve LB's which create holes for those TE's. The Pat OLine is also much better than Philly's.
