    Old odds on SBR
When looking at old odds on SBR, are these supposed to be the odds which were available just before the game started?

(Obviously, the odds move up/down from the point at which they are first posted up until you're no longer able to bet due to the commencement of the sporting event.)

    Thanks

But my question actually is: are these old odds showing what the odds are just prior to the game starting?

Or are they the odds given when the odds first became available?

        Thanks

If you are looking at the opener column to the left of the listed book odds, those are openers. If you are looking at the odds history, the lines closest to the top are the ones preceding the current odds on the grid.

So when I go to http://odds-beta.sbrforum.com/betting-odds/ , and I click on "YESTERDAY", it says "OPENER" at the top. Does this mean that all the odds listed on this page are the odds which were first available when the various bookmakers first posted their odds?

If I'm correct on what "OPENERS" means, I assume there is a term called "CLOSERS", which would be the odds available when the line closes? Where can I find the "CLOSERS" on SBR?

            Many thanks,

right next to the opener. the opener is one number. but all the books listed in order next to that column and their number are the closers

Great, thanks. I didn't see it before because for some reason the webpage is setup such that you have to move your mouse cursor over the word "OPENER" in order for the information to be displayed. When you do this, the information changes from showing the final score for each game, to instead showing the opener odds.

But one more thing: It shows the "OPENER" information without indicating which sportsbook it belongs to. Do all sportsbooks open with the identical odds? I would have assumed that they open with similar, but not identical odds. Can anyone comment on this?

                  Thanks
