1 Unit LA Dodgers -1.5 over Giants (graded +115 @ Bookmaker)
Dodgers have the talent to put on a fireworks display and by what I have seen since the Break I think that will happen today. This one won’t be close and @ +115 I have no problem throwing a little change on it.
2.5 Units Redsox over Anaheim (graded -163 @ 5Dimes)
Despite all the hype (unfortunately I was part of it), recent developments with Manny and management seem to have energized him. Yesterday’s performance demonstrates that he does what he says he does, just play baseball. To top things off Ortiz appears to be ready to break out and I think this will have an overall positive effect on the team. I feel comfortable playing this -163 with Dice K on the mound.
2 Units UNDER 9 Redsox/Anaheim (graded -115 @ 5Dimes)
Boston won’t be facing Ponson today and I do not suspect that Anaheim is going to light up Dice K. I predict this will be a low scoring game with Boston walking away with the win 5-2.
5 Units. OVER 7.5 in Arizona/SanDiego (graded -105 @ Bookmaker)
You can all hammer me when this loses (i.e SanDiego) but come on folks!, both pitchers have a combined ERA of close to ten so how can I ignore this total. Maddux will be on the mount for SD and he has been struggling all year to say the least. Owens will be on the mount for Zona and you know what…?....he batted .333 last year and has a lot of power.
