Do players and coaches know the spread?
In NBA and NFL games, do you think they know the total and spread for the game? Are they allowed to talk about it?

Some players have made mention of spreads before sir. So I would say they do know.

Didn't Roger Goodell issue a memo reminding players they were not to talk about gambling if specifically refering to the NFL?

seems like a potentially hurtful piece of information, yet it's not difficult to find out and the information is everywhere

Of course they do. When they talk of being the underdog, it's the vegas line, not from people saying to them "your opponent is better than you".

The total won't affect their ego like a point spread, so maybe less aware of the total.

I think the spread rolls across the bottom of EPSN for football games. I think they put the spread for the favorite in parenthesis or something.

Some of those hick white lineman don't know anything but beer

Lots of black football players cannot even spell the word spread so they have no clue.
