What do you want him to say? "We suck, I suck, we will lose".
He's a guy---whether you are a fan or hate his fukin guts---but he is a professional football player, playing QB for arguably the most popular team/hated team in the NFL----he has to say that.

They have a dominant Pass rusher..
Two very good receivers...
Great tight end...
If Romo and their O-Line just play reasonable, and learn to run a little bit...
They will be a factor...

Dude all the Cowboys have to do is reign Tony Romo in. Let him air it out early in games and if they are behind, have him continue to air it out. If they end up with a lead of 2 scores in the 3rd quarter or late 3rd quarter, they immediately run the ball every time.
They would win a lot of games that way.

Playing devil's advocate...If the Cowboys make the playoffs it's an entirely new ball game isn't it? 1 loss and your out. But 1 win and you move on.

Call me crazy. But I like the Boys to win the NFC East. Lets be honest, if Romo doesn't literally hand the game over to the Jets and Lions. They should be 4-0 and everyone would be on the Cowboys bandwagon.

You guys keep bagging on Romo...
He has faced four of the toughest defenses in the league to start the year...
You guys overlook match ups and situations way too much...
Brady has to worry about D.Ware, the only thing Romo has to worry about is which receiver is gonna be pissed at him for throwing to the other 2 guys more than him...
The Last time the Pats played a quality team (Chargers) they were outplayed at home... The scoreboard doesn't reflect it but those that watch the game know what happened...I remember watching the game telling myself the Pats should have lost...
-The Chargers were forced to Punt the ball ONE time, it was on their first drive from the Patriots 40...
-Turnover on downs trying to run the ball in on 4th-1 from the Patriots 1 yard line
-Rivers throws interception to Wilfork at the Patriots 29
-Rivers throws interception on the Patriots 7
-Tolbert Fumbles on Patriot 35 trying to be Barry Sanders
This is how the Pats "stopped" the Chargers...
Rivers was 29-40 for 370 yards... (97 QB rating)
Ater this game they went on to lose to the Bills, and beat 2 teams with horrible QB's (Raiders & Jets)...
Think Romo is gonna have a bad game with M.Austin, Dez Bryant, and J.Witten to throw to?? Look at these #'s from QB's that have played the Pats..
Sorry guys, but if you think that Romo and the Cowboys are getting shut down this week you are CRAZY...

I agree with the other poster cowboys should be 4-0 they have a good rb miller or something when they figure out he can run the boys will go back on top. To me they have everything needed to go to the superbowl just need to play 60 mins

I loathe Romo but I also used to despise Grossman. He used to be a crack monkey that people thought (for whatever reason) he could win them the game. Now look at him-he's part of one of the "best" teams-as in reasonably likely to make the playoffs (which should be your only goal at the start of the year). I always wondered how the Grossman's/Romo's/Cutler's survived their own teammates to be honest. Think I'm going with NE this weekend or taking a pass. Cheers

And I agree Ifold you did a solid writeup. But I don't think DAL understands what WSH understands. Sit Romo down, tell him the simple plays to execute and shut his yap would be my plan. However, Romo is still in a position of trust/belief to make big plays which I believe is a big mistake. I agree that DAL has a stellar supporting cast but the star continues to be Romo which is the downfall. If you contrast that with WSH you'll see the difference that I'm talking about. Cheers

One thing thats overlooked is Dallas is not getting the O-line play they had when Barber/Felix Jones were running all over the place. Felix Jones has been held under 60 yards in all but 1 game. Rob Ryan is getting the D together and Sean Lee is all over the field at LB. They should give NE all they want on Sunday imo if Romo doesn't hand out freebies! They have a strong Dline that will get after Brady.

Any team that makes the playoffs has a decent chance, it's not like they play a 7 game series.

For all the big bad patriots dominating, once playoffs come, they barely win if at all. It's not like they blew anyone out.

He said "this team is going to win a Super Bowl at some point...."
Why did you leave out the last part? You are making it sound like he predicted a Super Bowl for this season, which isn't true.

Someone must like them as this line keeps going down and down.
Christ boys, the simple question is-do you trust Mr. Romo (given his excellent players around him) to cover a seven (plus/min) or not? I try to be cerebral but many times I'm a big defenceman that needs to know his teammates are going to do the right thing for the team. Tony (and more importantly his coaching staff) have shown me that he won't or can't. Seven points seems reasonably basic.
