I spent time in NZ in 98'(1 month) and 99'(3 months).Best time I ever had in my life. Amazing outdoor activities, extremely hospitable people.Hiked a few of the great walks including the Abel Tasman and Milford track. Partied with a bunch of folks from all around the world. Saw the ALL-Black lose to France in the 99 rugby World Cup, and the country went into nation mourning. If there was any country in the world I would give up my US Citzenship for ...It would be NZ.

New Zealand is a great place. Two islands - each are different. People are friendly, educated and food is great especially if you like lamb. Lord of the rings was filmed in nz. Would recommend. The current prime minister was on letterman about a year or two ago. Do a google search for for john key letterman top ten. Funny. He is a former Merrill lynch employee in the US. 25 percent of kiwis have worked overseas at one time. Simply - go if u have the chance.
