I dont understand the schedule for trivia?

Sometimes it seems like I get it 2 times a week, sometimes it seems like I go 10-12 days without it popping up. Is there supposed to be a set schedule for it or is it just something that SBR pops up when someone remembers?

8 times a month, all random. Could be 8 days in a row, 2x a week or just scattered. Make sure you log in every day (and collect your 12 pts while you're at it!) to make sure you don't miss out

After a shaky start to the "random" trivia scheme, they seem to have settled in pretty well. Without quantifying it, it feels like its close to the same frequency as it was before.
