Anyone here ever met a past or current wife or girlfriend online?Are you embarrassed to tell that you met online and you cook up a story where you met person to person?

I think there is still a stigma attached to meeting someone online where people assume you were both hard up computer geek,lonely heart losers.Then you get the other stigmas like,was she a mail order bride or watch out,he might be a con man or an axe murderer or she might be a gold digger just out to use you reaction.

LOL..funny you bring this up. Robyn and I went to visit my Nana tonight who is really old. We were playing Rummy with her.

Out of nowhere she brings up people meeting "on the computer" and how it is disgusting and sad. How terrible is it that a man or woman has to resort to that and can't meet anyone in real life.

I haven't personally met a girlfriend online before but had I, I'm not quite sure why there would be any reason to be embarrassed by it at all...

I met my fiance online technically. We had randomly been talking to eachother for 2-3 months before I finally went to a night class I normally skipped out on...she was in the room next door.

So yeah, we didn't really figure it out until I stopped skipping class...
