This has to happen sooner or later where a super rich dude wants his name in the record books of baseball by playing 1 out or what ever qualifies you to be in the record books.Even a filthy rich owner would go along with it if for instance if the guy gave 10 million to the owners favorite charity.

Hell, you can go on space flights if you pay enough these days, why not pay to play for a pro team. You could be put in during a game where the outcome has been determined where maybe in the 9th inning you are ahead by 10 runs.I can imagine with players union rules, salary caps and leagues frowning on circus act promotions, this might not fly.

I always thought some rich guy to make his kid feel important would pay a team to draft his kid.Hell, baseball has like 40 rounds in their draft, what would it hurt to draft some lump of a kid in the 40th round.I think you get a certificate when you get drafted? The kid could go around for years telling chicks he was drafted by a pro team and that would get even an ugly nerdy kid women.

Some NFL teams have alumni clubs and a guy that played one down for the Packers in a pre season game is the chairman of the club I believe.
